If a man is not part of the fraternity, this book really gives him enough knowlege to speak on a masonic level; however, this book only illustrates things half way. I stenuously urge non-masons not to use this book to “front” being a mason. Masons take their craft very seriously and to act as a mason and turn out not to be one can end up being very dangerous. History tells us that men have been killed for this. Other than that, this book is a standard for all speculative masons.

This book makes for good reading and is very interesting, but I would not want to rely on it to work my way into a Blue Lodge.

The book gives is fairly accurate as to the story of the degrees but the specifics are way off from the any known Masonic jurisdiction in the US. You couldn’t fake your way into a lodge with this so don’t try. As to the above statement about danger, the only danger would be getting laughed at and being told where the exit door is. Masons are good men who do great work in the community. There is nothing dangerous about Freemasons unless hanging out with a group of good civic citizens is dangerous.
